The Hall of Fame is organized to continue the rich heritage and tradition of Hamden High School's successful athletic programs. It will also serve as a means of recognizing, preserving, and honoring the athletes, teams, coaches, and individuals who contributed significantly to these athletic programs.
Athlete Award Criteria:
A Hall of Fame candidate shall not be considered for the Hall of Fame until ten (10) years after graduation from Hamden High School. Any athlete who distinguished themselves as an athlete while a student at Hamden High School above and beyond the normal standards. This could include establishing individual school, conference, state, or national records or championships.

Selected for All-Conference, All-District, and All-State Honors or qualifying as an individual in State competition.

Recognized as an all-around HHS athlete in any sport while leading teams to Conference and State Championships.

An athlete not so honored for high school achievements, but who excelled and gained honors at the college level and beyond, may be considered by the Hall of Fame Committee.
Coach Award Criteria:
A former coach (head coach or assistant coach) with at least five (5) years of service at Hamden High School, who has contributed to the success of Hamden High School athletes over a period of years may be considered a candidate to the Hall of Fame.
Contributor Award Criteria
An individual who has made outstanding contributions to the interscholastic athletic programs at Hamden High School or Hamden Athletic Youth Programs other than coaching or playing.
